This policy explains how MyangByteLabs ("we") handles information in the Watermura app (the "App"). Effective: 2026-10-19
1. Summary
The App works without an account; then your water log, goal, field guide and settings stay only on your device. Only if you choose to sign in (Google or Apple) do we keep the same data in your account so you can continue on a new device (section 2-1). We never use your location and we use no analytics. Free users see rewarded ads only when they choose to (section 5). There are no ads in water logging, reminders or stats.
2. Information stored only on your device
Water amounts and times, daily goal, weight and activity level (to suggest a goal), wake-up and bed times (for reminders)
Restored lands, creatures you've met, chests, keys, fragments and achievements
Settings (language, units, reminders, haptics)
This data is deleted when you delete the App. If device backup (iCloud / Google backup) is on, it may be included in that backup under Apple's or Google's policies. You can erase it anytime in Settings → Delete account (at the bottom).
2-1. Saving to your account (optional: Google or Apple sign-in)
What: your sign-in identifier (Google or Apple account ID), email address (or the relay address Apple creates if you hide your email), and the log, progress and settings in section 2 (device-specific settings such as language, haptics and Health are not included)
Why: so you can continue after switching phones or reinstalling, and to combine progress from several devices
Where: Google LLC's Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore, Seoul region). Access is restricted so only you can read and write your data.
How long and deletion: until you delete your account. Delete your account and its saved data immediately and permanently anytime in Settings → Delete account (at the bottom); if you signed in with Apple, we also revoke the Sign in with Apple link. Deleting your account also clears this phone. Signing out clears this phone and keeps the data in your account.
3. Health app (optional)
Only if you turn it on, the App writes your water amount and time to Apple Health (HealthKit) or Health Connect. It does not read other health data.
Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sent to us or third parties.
You can revoke access anytime in the Health app or your phone's settings.
4. Purchases (PRO subscription)
PRO is billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never receive your card details. To check your subscription, RevenueCat, Inc. processes a random anonymous user ID and your purchase history (product, purchase and expiry dates). No water log or identifying information is sent.

5. Ads (free users)
When a free user taps open chest, craft a key, claim the weekly spring or collect the morning dew, the App shows a Google AdMob rewarded ad. There are no banner or pop-up ads, and ads are never loaded for PRO users.
To serve ads, Google LLC processes device information (advertising or app-scoped identifier, device model and OS, approximate region from IP address), ad interactions and diagnostics. Your water log and health data are never sent to ads.
On iPhone, after setup the App asks through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow it, ads may be personalised using the advertising identifier (IDFA); if you don't, ads are shown without it and are not personalised — features and rewards are the same either way. Change this anytime in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, the device's advertising ID settings (delete or reset) apply.
Where consent is required (e.g. the EEA), Google's consent form lets you choose; change it anytime under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
Water logged on Apple Watch or Wear OS travels only between your phone and watch (Apple WatchConnectivity / Google Wearable Data Layer), never through our servers.
So the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets can show today's water and let you log from them, today's total, goal and land name, plus cups tapped on a widget, are kept in the app's shared storage on this device (iOS App Group / Android app storage). This never leaves your device.
7. Content server
To add new lands and creatures without an app update, the App downloads public content files (lists and pictures). As with any web request, your IP address may appear in the host's (Google Firebase Hosting) access logs. No user data is sent.
8. Your rights
You can view, edit and delete your on-device data in the App, and delete the data saved in your account anytime by deleting your account. Cancel your subscription in the App Store or Google Play. Contact us below with any questions.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.
